We offer the opportunity to upcycle wasted material and turn it into something useful.
Overview:
ReClaim transforms organic waste from local businesses and institutions into nutrient-rich compost, combining sustainability with applied biological research. Our customers—schools, restaurants, and businesses—benefit from reduced landfill waste, lower disposal costs, and affordable topsoil. Organic waste represents one of the most underutilized resources in Mississippi. Businesses and institutions often resort to landfill disposal that inadvertently drives methane emissions and costs. Meanwhile, agricultural systems depend on expensive, resource-intensive fertilizers. ReClaim bridges this gap by providing a sustainable and affordable waste solution that diverts organic material from landfills and supports applied biological research in waste bioconversion through black soldier fly application.
Products and Services:
Each of ReClaim’s products and services has the goal to create a closed-loop system, turning
community waste into agricultural, scientific, and monetary value for communities across the country. All these products and services together will work towards the overall goal of the company.
1. Composting Collection Service:
ReClaim will operate a dynamic, app‑based pickup route modeled after platforms like DoorDash. Partner businesses, schools, or community organizations will be able to request or schedule pickups in real time, allowing ReClaim to optimize routing, reduce fuel use, and ensure efficient collection responsiveness. This flexible gig‑style routing model lowers overhead while enabling scalable service coverage across the Golden Triangle and anywhere else ReClaim expands to.
2. Aerated Static Pile Compost Product:
Efficient aerobic decomposition producing high quality soil amendments for local agriculture and landscaping.
3. BSF Bioconversion Research and Products:
Using food waste to rear BSF larvae that convert waste into valuable protein, oil, and frass (fertilizer). The frass, protein, and oils produced by the BSF differentiate ReClaim from other composters as BSF have been proven to provide critical nutrients to plants that decrease the need of synthetic products in top soil, thus making the final product cheaper for the consumer. Additionally, BSF is currently being researched as a sustainable and affordable protein source for livestock and currently, BSF are being researched to see if they are safe for livestock to eat as a protein source. - This research informs improved composting efficiency, nutrient recycling, and sustainable feed alternatives. ReClaim will be researching gut microbiome in these flies to see if these microbes are beneficial to feed to livestock or other sorts of animals. Therefore, buying ReClaim is supporting critical and cutting-edge research in entomology.
4. Compost and Byproduct Sales:
Distribution of both traditional compost and insect derived soil enhancers combined together creates a unique dual-stream product line that differentiates ReClaim from competitors.
Every year the United States alone wastes 92,000,000,000 pounds of food. That is around 38% of all the food produced in America. This wasted, compostable material goes to landfills which reduces the lifespan of landfills and results in more landfills being created. unnecessarily when it could be put to a better use. We want to honor, steward and protect the environment
ReClaim utilizes research backed methods to create the highest quality compost on the market. Through the use of black soldier fly larvae (BSFL) in the decomposition process, this creates a uniquely positioned product that is not replicated anywhere else in the market.
BSFL are being researched worldwide as an effective supplement for compost piles, circular economy applications across the market, and as a useful plant supplement as a result of the BSFL frass in the compost pile. This vermiculture approach differentiates ReClaim from its competitors.
